RESUMO: O arti­go em tela tem como obje­to esclare­cer a real­i­dade con­tem­porânea com relação ao para­doxo entre o servir e ser servi­do no sen­ti­do da comu­ni­cação e espetac­u­lar­iza­ção da segu­rança públi­ca, no qual, agentes poli­ci­ais têm se con­fec­ciona­do para lograr cap­i­tal políti­co e econômi­co. A metodolo­gia uti­liza­da para o desen­volvi­men­to do arti­go foi pesquisas bib­li­ográ­fi­cas com a con­sul­ta de per­iódi­cos e arti­gos, de modo a lig­ar a teo­ria com o fato em con­cre­to. Con­se­quente­mente, o arti­go con­duz um pen­sa­men­to de críti­ca ao modo de comu­ni­cação da ativi­dade poli­cial, à pop­u­lação, como um espetácu­lo de entreten­i­men­to midiáti­co em detri­men­to da obje­tivi­dade de servir a pop­u­lação. Logo, esse arti­go expõe um prob­le­ma que ocorre fre­quente­mente em todas as insti­tu­ições poli­ci­ais.

ABSTRACT: The arti­cle in ques­tion aims to clar­i­fy the con­tem­po­rary real­i­ty regard­ing the para­dox between serv­ing and being served in the sense of com­mu­ni­ca­tion and pub­lic secu­ri­ty spec­tac­u­lar­iza­tion, in which police agents have been made to achieve polit­i­cal and eco­nom­ic cap­i­tal. The method­ol­o­gy used for the devel­op­ment of the arti­cle was bib­li­o­graph­ic research and con­sul­ta­tion of jour­nals and arti­cles, in order to link the the­o­ry with the con­crete fact. Con­se­quent­ly, the arti­cle con­ducts a crit­i­cal thought to the way police activ­i­ty is com­mu­ni­cat­ed to the pop­u­la­tion, as a spec­ta­cle of media enter­tain­ment to the detri­ment of the objec­tiv­i­ty of serv­ing the pop­u­la­tion. There­fore, this arti­cle expos­es a prob­lem that fre­quent­ly occurs in all police insti­tu­tions.
