NOTICE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

The Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD), the San­Ti­a­go Dan­tas Chair, the Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM), the UNESCO Chair: Human Rights and Vio­lence: Gov­ern­ment and Gov­er­nance and the Tirant lo Blanch Pub­lish­ing House, are proud to announce the launch of the III Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my Inter­na­tion­al Sym­po­sium and invite Uni­ver­si­ty Pro­fes­sors, Researchers, Post-grad­u­ate Stu­dents, Spe­cial­ists, Judges, Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Pros­e­cu­tion Office, Lawyers and oth­er pro­fes­sion­als of the legal career, or Eco­nom­ics, Pol­i­tics, Jour­nal­ism, Social Work, Human Sci­ences, Social Sci­ences, Human­i­ties, Phi­los­o­phy and oth­er areas of knowl­edge inter­est­ed in the theme of “THE RIGHT OF/TOACCESS BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE”, which impos­es and autho­rizes mul­ti-and-trans­dis­ci­pli­nary approach­es, in the var­i­ous branch­es of domes­tic, com­par­a­tive and inter­na­tion­al law, in the dia­logue between sources and jurispru­dence, as well as the fun­da­men­tal con­tri­bu­tion of the human and social sci­ences, not exclud­ing of tech­ni­cal and artis­tic con­tri­bu­tions, to par­tic­i­pate in the selec­tion process of arti­cles to be pub­lished in a spe­cial Edi­tion orga­nized by The São Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD), the San­Ti­a­goDan­tas Chair, the Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM), the UNESCO Chair: Human Rights and Vio­lence: Gov­ern­ment and Gov­er­nance and the Tirant lo Blanch Pub­lish­ing House, and pre­sent­ed at the III Inter­na­tion­al Sym­po­sium to be held in the city of Cameri­no, Italy, from the 8th to the 11th of Novem­ber 2022, under the aus­pices of the Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM).

 

1. ABOUT THE III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

The event is inter­na­tion­al, and open to the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Pro­fes­sors, Researchers, and Profes­sion­als from all over the world.

The event is mea­sured by its sci­en­tif­ic rig­or, has its own sys­tem, the Sci­en­tif­ic Event Sys­tem® — SES, which fol­lows inter­na­tion­al stan­dards for the con­trol and eval­u­a­tion of arti­cles (Dou­ble-Blind Peer Review), among oth­er cri­te­ria of excel­lence, such as a Com­mit­tee formed only by professors/doctors.

The event will be held in per­son and/or online, with online trans­mis­sion.

 

2. ON THE TOPIC

The top­ic of the São Paulo Law Acad­e­my Inter­na­tion­al Sym­po­sium is: “THE RIGHT OF/TO ACCESS BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND THE PRIVATE”.

The theme is aimed to reflec­tions with a cen­tral focus on the men­tioned themes.

Giv­en the diver­si­ty of the sub-themes, it is pos­si­ble to set dia­logues between them, there­fore, the arti­cle may address some aspect relat­ed to the aspects pro­posed for reflec­tion in the the­mat­ic con­struc­tion.

 

3. RULES FOR SUBMISSION

To sub­mit arti­cles, the author(s) must be reg­is­tered at the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM — IX INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY UNESCO CHAIR: Human Rights and Vio­lence: Gov­ern­ment and Gov­er­nance — THE RIGHT OF/TO ACCESS BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND THE PRIVATE.

All sub­mis­sions must adhere to the fol­low­ing guide­lines:

1. The sub­mit­ted man­u­script should not be pub­lished pre­vi­ous­ly or under con­sid­er­a­tion for pub­li­ca­tion.
2. Foot­not­ing must be manda­to­ri­ly done accord­ing to the 19thEdi­tion Har­vard Blue­book Cita­tion.
3. The font must be Times New Roman with size 14, for head­ings, and 12 for the remain­ing body with foot­notes in Times New Roman, size 10.
4. Line spac­ing ‑1.5 and 1.0 (foot­notes) and a mar­gin of 1” on all sides.
5. The sub­mis­sion must con­tain an abstract of no more than 250words, and 5 key-words, max­i­mum.
6. Co-Author­ship is per­mit­ted, being allowed a max­i­mum of 3 (three) co-authors by arti­cle.
7. Pla­gia­rism will be viewed with zero tol­er­ance.
8. The sub­mis­sions can be sent in Por­tuguese, Ital­ian, Eng­lish, French, Ger­man, and Span­ish, con­sid­er­ing the author’s moth­er tongue.

IMPORTANT: It is manda­to­ry, at the time of reg­is­tra­tion, the sub­mis­sion of the Abstract, observ­ing the fol­low­ing spec­i­fi­ca­tions: a) Title in Por­tuguese (or in the orig­i­nal lan­guage) and Eng­lish or, as a sec­ond lan­guage, one of those men­tioned in this pub­lic notice; b) Line of research in which it is insert­ed; c) Abstract in the orig­i­nal lan­guage and in Eng­lish (or, as a sec­ond lan­guage, one of those present in this Notice), not exceed­ing 250 words; d) Key­words of the arti­cle in Por­tuguese (or in the orig­i­nal lan­guage) and Eng­lish or, as a sec­ond lan­guage, one of those men­tioned in this pub­lic notice (from 3 to 5 words sep­a­rat­ed by a hyphen). 

* The Atten­dance at the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM as an audi­tor, is con­di­tioned to the pay­ment of the reg­is­tra­tion, but does not require the sub­mis­sion of a sci­en­tif­ic arti­cle. 

Note: The Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD) sup­ports and pro­motess cien­tif­ic and aca­d­e­m­ic pro­duc­tion. All arti­cles that have been reg­is­tered will be accept­ed for analy­sis, respect­ing the sub­mis­sion cri­te­ria.

The arti­cles approved by the Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee will be select­ed for pre­sen­ta­tion at the Sym­po­sium and its pub­li­ca­tion.

 

4. DEADLINES

The sub­mis­sion dead­line is Octo­ber 15th, 2022.

REMARKS:

The sub­mis­sion of the sci­en­tif­ic paper for analy­sis is sub­ject to con­fir­ma­tion of reg­is­tra­tion and pay­ment, at the same time, of all authors and co-authors.
The names of the authors and their respec­tive arti­cles approved by the Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee will be pub­lished on the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my web­site until 10/25/2022 and com­mu­ni­cat­ed direct­ly to the authors by email.
Authors who have their works approved must sub­mit the full arti­cle by Novem­ber 3rd, 2022.
Sub­mis­sions shall be mailed, prefer­ably in Microsoft Word for­mat, to diretoria@apd.org.br with sub­ject line as “Sub­mis­sion for the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM”.
At the time of sub­mis­sion of the arti­cle, the authors assign their rights to the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD). 
Only arti­cles approved by the Edi­to­r­i­al Board will be pub­lished.  

 5. NOTIFICATION OF APPROVAL

The deci­sion by the Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee on the approval or rejec­tion of the arti­cles sub­mit­ted will be report­ed direct­ly to the authors by email and the com­plet­ed list will be pub­lished on the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­mia (APD) web­site until Octo­ber 25th, 2022.

The approved arti­cles may be pre­sent­ed oral­ly dur­ing the III Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my Inter­na­tion­al Sym­po­sium, by the author or by one of the co-authors.
The sched­ules will be pub­lished on the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­mia (APD) web­site.

6. EVALUTION:

Please be aware that the Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee will ana­lyze each arti­cle in the dou­ble-blind peer review.

The Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee nev­er dis­close the names of our peer review­ers or share their reviews with the author. 

 

7. CERTIFICATION

All arti­cles pre­sent­ed at the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM will receive inter­na­tion­al cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, endorsed by the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD), San­Ti­a­go Dan­tas Chair, Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM) and the Tirant lo Blanch Pub­lish­ing House. 

 

8. PUBLICATIONS OF THE ARTICLES

All the arti­cles pre­sent­ed at the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM will be pub­lished in the spe­cial edi­tion orga­nized by the Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my (APD), Cát­e­dra San­Ti­a­go Dan­tas, in part­ner­ship with Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM) and the Tirant lo Blanch Pub­lish­ing House, and, even­tu­al­ly, in Poli­fo­niaSao Paulo Law Acad­e­my Inter­na­tion­al Law Review.

 

9. REGISTRATIONS

We ask that you pay atten­tion to cor­rect­ly fill­ing in all the fields of the reg­is­tra­tion form to avoid fur­ther prob­lems regard­ing the issuance of cer­tifi­cates and pro­gram­mat­ic con­tent.

The cor­rect fill­ing of the “e‑mail” field is of fun­da­men­tal impor­tance for the estab­lish­ment of the infor­ma­tion link.

After regis­tra­tion, a con­fir­ma­tion email will be sent con­tain­ing the access data to the reg­is­tra­tion area (login and pass­word), where it is pos­si­ble to reprint the reg­is­tra­tion fee slip at any time, if nec­es­sary.

IMPORTANT:

Check the dead­lines for reg­is­tra­tion and pay­ment togeth­er with the sub­mis­sion of Abstracts.
The reg­is­tra­tion pay­ment of the authors and co-authors is indis­pens­able at the time of reg­is­tra­tion and will enti­tle the arti­cle to eval­u­a­tion.
It is manda­to­ry, at the time of reg­is­tra­tion, the sub­mis­sion of Abstracts, observ­ing the spec­i­fi­ca­tions estab­lished in this Notice.
Co-writ­ten arti­cles will be accept­ed as long as they are prop­er­ly sub­scribed, being allowed a max­i­mum of 3 (three) co-authors by arti­cle.
We inform that there will be no refund of pay­ments made, even when the arti­cles have not been accept­ed by the Edi­to­r­i­al Com­mit­tee. In the case of works not accept­ed, the pro­po­nents may use their reg­is­tra­tion as a par­tic­i­pant, with the right to a cer­tifi­cate of par­tic­i­pa­tion.
It will not be allowed to change the infor­ma­tion of the work after sub­mis­sion.
We ask that you care­ful­ly read the sub­mis­sion rules before sub­mit­ting your work.

Upon reg­is­tra­tion, the author(s) must indi­cate whether their par­tic­i­pa­tion in the III SAO PAULO LAW ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM will occur in the Online or In-per­son modal­i­ty (the reg­is­tra­tion fee is the same for both modal­i­ties).

All Full Fel­lows of The Sao Paulo Law Acad­e­my and all researchers of the Acad­e­mia Pesquisa are exempt from pay­ing the reg­is­tra­tion fee. Also, Post­grad­u­ate stu­dents, Researchers and Profes­sors at the Uni­ver­sità degli stu­di di Cameri­no (UNICAM), should mark this option on the reg­is­tra­tion form.
